Gun Upgrades - Traction Grips

Let’s face it, there are tons of products out on the market designed to make your gun better.  Sometimes they work, other times you can’t tell the difference.  I have found a product that you can definitely tell the difference: Traction Grips.

Now, I have talked about these before on my SCCY CPX-2.  I loved them then, but I love them even more now.  About a year ago, I published that blog post and video about them.  It was pretty much an unboxing video where I said I liked them.  After having them on a gun that I carry quite frequently now for about a year, I can say they are even better than I thought.

When I carry my SCCY, it’s in my pocket.  Now in Florida it gets very hot and very humid.  In my pocket, it gets very hot, very humid, and sweaty.  Same when it’s in my car, or even in my closet (minus the sweaty part).  However, even after all of those conditions, it is still holding up flawlessly.  There are not many other things that cost under nine bucks that I can say do that.

Installation is simple and only takes a few minutes:
  1. Clean your grip with warm water and dish soap
  2. Dry the grips (you can use a heat gun or blow dryer)
  3. Remove the backing from the adhesive while taking care not to touch the adhesive
  4. Line up and press the precision cut overlay onto your firearm
  5. Heat with a heat gun or blow dryer to allow the adhesive to bond with your frame and the overlay to conform to your gun
The rubberized surface gives a great feeling in your hands.  I can’t say enough good things about this product.  Head on over to Traction Grips today to get yours.  For more details, check out this video:
